Hanging or mounting?

Hanging a TV and mounting a TV are the same job.

Some people say they want a TV hung, others say mounted. Either way, it means the same thing: a mount is fastened to the wall, and the TV hangs on that mount. It is what we do every day across the Reno area.

What makes a TV hang right

  • Into the studs. Drywall on its own isn't what holds a TV. The mount is fastened into the studs, so the weight goes into the framing of the house.
  • Level. A TV that's a degree off is something you notice every time you sit down, so we set it level before we leave.
  • No cables hanging under it. Basic in-wall wire concealment is part of every install.
  • Ready to watch. Your streaming device gets connected as part of the job.

Thinking of hanging it yourself?

Check that the mount is rated for your TV's weight and fits the holes on the back of it, find the studs rather than trusting drywall anchors, and get a second person for the lift. Two things decide most of the job: how high it goes, and what the wall is made of. Our guides on how high to mount a TV and drywall vs brick walk through both.

How it works

How we hang your TV, in three steps.

1

Build your price

Tell the quote builder your TV size, wall type, mount and any extras. More than one TV? Add each one. Then book a time or call.

2

Into the studs

We find the studs and fasten the mount to them, or anchor it into the masonry on brick, concrete or stone.

3

Hung, level, connected

The TV goes on the mount and gets set level, the basic wiring is hidden in the wall and your streaming device is connected.
